Trabzonspor started well: Salah ran onto Muçi's through ball and finished one-on-one in the 11th minute. Amedspor's reply came at the end of the half — Dia Saba's shot struck Melih's arm, a penalty was given, Andre Onana saved Mbaye Diagne's kick, but Yira Sor followed up to score: 1-1.

Neither side dominated the second half and a draw looked likely until Gift Orban struck in the 90th minute to bring the stadium to its feet. Trabzonspor, playing after a European return leg and missing four players, suffered their second dropped points of the season.

A Kurdish club beating one of the big four at home, from behind, in the last minute, in only its third top-flight match — this is not just three points. It is proof the team came to compete, not to be seen.
