Thousands at Amedstore: Five New Signings Put Pen to Paper in Front of the Fans

On 10 August, Amedspor held a group signing ceremony for five new players outside Amedstore on Stadium Road. Samuel Ballet, Yira Sor, Mohamed Khalil, Gökhan Gül and Rayan Lutin signed their contracts not behind closed doors, but in front of thousands of supporters.

Fans began gathering around Amedstore hours before the ceremony. The crowd swelled until it was dense enough to cause congestion; green and red flares were lit and chanting carried on through the evening. The club streamed the event live on its official YouTube channel, so supporters who could not travel to Amed could follow the moment as it happened.

After signing, all five players met the fans one by one, posing for photographs and signing shirts. In brief remarks, the new arrivals said they were glad to have joined Amedspor and would give everything they had for the team's success.

Moving a signing ceremony out into the street might look like a small detail. It is not. At Amedspor a contract is not simply an agreement between a club and a player; it is part of the bond between the club and its people. The crowd that filled Stadium Road that evening made it perfectly clear who stands behind this newly promoted team.
