Amedspor face their first away fixture in the Süper Lig. The green and red travel to Kocaeli Stadium to meet Kocaelispor at 21:30 on Monday 24 August, in week two of the league.
The two sides closed the opening round in very different moods. Amedspor went top after beating Erzurumspor 3-0 at home, while Kocaelispor lost 2-0 away at Başakşehir and finished the week without a point. Selçuk İnan is in charge of the hosts.
Preparations at Amedspor began immediately after the opener. The coaching staff assessed the players' condition following the first match before moving on to tactical work for the trip, with training continuing through the week.
Away days are the real examination for a newly promoted side. Amedspor began strongly in front of their own crowd; this time they play hundreds of kilometres from Amed, in front of a full home stand.
